We welcome Darran and Craig Hewitt to to the fold. They are from a weightlifting background and Darran is the current British Schoolboy Champion.
Connor O'Shea, British Under 15 Sumo Champ, will soon be featured on the BBC Newsround website. The Newsround team have done a film on some young Japanese champions that will be shown around the last week in February, so keep your eyes peeled.
Here's the new lads.......

Congratulations to Connor O'Shea (April 2002) for winning the British Schools Weightlifting Championships with a lift of 75 kg at 13 years of age! Strong Chris Freebury Jnr. placed second in his category...a fantastic achievement.
The youngsters are encouraged to do a variety of sports including some weightlifting (with the concentration on technique). A little judo is practised and some WWF style wrestling....the old and the new!!!! Lee Carter(5th Dan) has been showing them some neat judo moves.
Chris Freebury, Connor and Charlie O'Shea, and Sammy Morgan all placed second in the national schools weightlifting championships for their respective weight categories.(March 2001).
Richard Morgan took a well deserved third place and Richard Jones placed fourth as did Liam Cronin.
All the youngsters are a bit too young to participate in the Euro or World Junior Sumo Championships.....you cannot have a 13 year old fighting a nineteen year old....we feel it is too dangerous.
The powers at be will eventually recognise the need for international competition for under 15 year olds..hopefully.
Following the KING OF THE MOUNTAIN competition the following grades have been awarded
Chris Freebury Jnr. aged 11, Green Belt
Richard Morgan ,11, Green Belt
Sammy Morgan, 14, Green Belt
Conner O'Shea, 12, Green Belt
Chas O'Shea, 14, Green Belt
Jo Mullen, 7, Green Belt
Conner, 7, Green Belt
Tom Mullen, 12, Green Belt

Bran, 12, Green Belt.
